As a shocking episode, a family asserted that a man who died with the road accident , that his eyes missing after his body was given over to the family at a state-run government hospital in Kolkata. The death person named Sambhunath Das of 69 years , had endured head wounds in the wake of falling on the road on Sunday.
He was pronounced dead on landing in the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. His child said that when he enquired why the eyes of the body kept in the funeral home were absent after the post-mortem examination, couple of workers said that his eyes were eaten by rats.
