Big defaulter passes country easily!

Industrialist turned Politician Vijay Mallya, who is bank loan defaulter charges,  left the country purportedly from being caught by the CBI. The apex investigation agency is probing the case of loan defaulting following a complaint by IDBI bank from whch Malya took huge amount of loan.

Interestingly, Maly left the country on the very day when the banks, to which he owed over Rs. 9,000 crore, moved the Debt Recovery Tribunal (DRT). This was revealed by  Attorney-General of India Mukul Rohatgi in a submission to the Supreme Court of India. The AGI is representing Thirteen banks, which gave loans to Malya.

The AGI along with advocate Robin Ratnakar David told a Bench of Justices Kurian Joseph and Rohinton Nariman that the liquor baron is said to have left the country on March 2, 2o16. The banks hurriedly moved the court to restrain Mallya, a Rajya Sabha member, from leaving the country but to no avail. They urged the court to seize his passport.
