Atul Kulkarni in GPSK’s fame krish’s direction

Acclaimed on-screen character Atul Kulkarni, who has acted in few Telugu films like ‘Andhrawala’, ‘Chanti’, ‘Gowri’, ‘Raam’, “Panjaa” and ‘Ghazi’, has been reserved in ‘Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi’, featuring Kangana Ranaut in the in the lead, which is being helmed by “Kanche” and ‘Gauthamiputra Satakarni’ fame director Krish.
After TV star Ankita Lokhande went ahead board for the film, the newest addition to the cast is on-screen character Atul Kulkarni. He will be seen playing the freedom warrior, Tatya Tope while Kangana will paper Lakshmi Bai. Atul’s part is said to be a pivotal one, Tope, whose actual name was Ramachandra Pandurang Tope, was one of the generals who drove the Indian resistance of 1857 and helped Rani Laxmibai in procuring Gwalior from the British rule.
It is not the first time through, when Atul will play any historical character, before he played the part of Ram Prasad Bismil, an Indian revolutionary, in ‘Rang De Basanti’. Atul Kulkarni has affirmed the news by means of his tweet as he expressed, “Began shooting for the driven venture on Zansi Ki Rani-MANIKARNIKA 5 days of INTENSE sword battling WITHOUT A SINGLE SHOT BY MY DUPE!” The performer has posted couple of pictures with his new friends from the sets, Raaka (his horse) and stated, “New Film, New Friend-Raakaa!” He uncovered that he did all the sword battling stunts himself, while his body twofold sat on the sets doing nothing.
Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi is an upcoming Indian epic biographical film about the life of Rani Laxmibai of Jhansi. It is being directed by Krish and produced by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Co-Produced by Nishant Pitti. Kangana Ranaut plays the title role of Rani Laxmibai. Principal photography on the film began in May 2017 and the film is scheduled for release on 27 April 2018.
