Legendary actress Sridevi, who left for a heavenly abode was one of the best actresses in the Film industry has ever witnessed. The actress even earned the titled as Bollywood’s first lady superstar. After a brief period of time the actress returned to the silver screen with ‘English Vinglish’ and then ‘MOM’ both of which garnered immense praises for her grounded performances and even won her a National Award. She always wanted to see her daughter Janhvi act in movies. For that reason Sri Devi worked really hard to introduce Janhvi as actress to throw Film Industry. Janhvi Kapoor did get a lot of praise for her debut movie Dhadak. It is said that Sri Devi always wished to see Janhvi to act in own banner. It seems the dream will be fulfilled with “Bombay Girl”.

Janhvi is in jackpot mode with big projects in her hand. Her upcoming movies – Dostana 2 with Kartik Aaryan, Roohi Afza, co starring Rajkummar Rao, Gunjan Saxena’s biopic, the multistarrer Takht, and Rannbhoomi are some other big projects. And now it is confirmed that she will collaborate with her father Boney Kapoor for the first time for “Bombay Girl”. The story will be written and directed by S sanjay Tripaathy. Boney Kapoor will be producing the project with Mahaveer Jain.

As per her other projects, Dostana 2 with Karthik Aaryan will be a romantic comedy. Janhvi will play a double role in the film and both her characters namely Roohi and Afsana will be contrasting personalities. In “Gunjan Saxena : The Kargil Girl” Janhvi will be seen as Gunan who is best-known as one of the first women combat aviators who entered the war zone of Kargil in 1999. In Karan Johar’s ‘Takht’, Janhvi will be playing the character of a slave girl.
