The trailer of Varun Tej starrer ‘Kanche’ which was released on Pawan Kalyan’s birthday had struck the right chord of the audience and even celebrities including Mahesh and Rajamouli were in all praise for the team.
But the story shown in this trailer is similar to a Hollywood flick ‘Dear John’ which was released back in 2010.
Both the stories have a protagonist who is in army, he falling in love with a girl when he returns to his village and also antagonist loving the same girl and also working for military. What sets them apart is the backdrop. While the Hollywood flick is based on Iraq attack in2001, our film is set in the time of World War 2.
It is not the first time director Krish took inspirations from Western movies. His first movie ‘Gamyam’ was an inspiration of a Hollywood movie. But what sets him apart is his narration and execution. Hope this critically acclaimed director doesn’t disappoint this time and score a commercial success.
