Akkineni Nagarjuna is busy in promotions of his latest production venture Rarandoy Veduka Chuddham which has his son Naga Chaitanya and actress Rakul Preet Singh playing lead roles.
Meanwhile, there were interesting reports that, Nagarjuna was offered to play the role of Karna in 1000 crore budget film ‘Mahabharatham’ being made with Mohanlal as the lead actor. Taking this buzz, Nagarjuna said,” I have told them that I will do a small role if it’s important for the story. If it’s not important, I can’t do it. The offer is there. Let’s see. As for the idea, it has been mooted 4 years ago itself. I have read one of the works of the screenplay writer. It’s great.”

The film directed by Shrikumar Menon and it is bankrolled by Dubai based businessman B.R. Shetty. The film is based on the popular Malayalam book ‘Randhamoozham’ authored by MT Vasudeva Nair.
Nagarjuna stated about his ongoing project Raju Gari Gadhi 2, that the entire production work is done except for very little portions which will be completed in 10 days of shooting schedule.
