The Kattappa character was first offered to Mohanlal but the actor rejected the role as he couldn’t allot the bulk dates sought by the ace Telugu director. Rajamouli have no complaints as Sathyaraj played the role to perfection. It would be mightier, if Mohanlal had essayed the same character.Initially Nayanthara was the first choice to Devasena, but it is rejected Nayanthara then Rajamouli made Anushka in the form. However, the cast has been incredible and gained huge response for the film.
