Sai Tej scored a decent hit with his previous film Chitralahari. He underwent a physical makeover for his role in Prati Roju Pandage, which released today. The family entertainer has Maruthi at the helm and released amidst good expectations. Let’s see what it has to offer.

Story: Sathyaraj is an ailing old man, who has just 5 weeks to live. He craves for love and affection from his family members, but his son finds it tough to make time as he is busy with his own life. This is when, Sathyaraj’s grandson Sai Tej comes in and tries to make his grandfather’s last days beautiful. The rest of the story unveils the tale of an ailing old-age person, his not-so-caring son and affectionate grandson.

Analysis: Maruthi has picked a family-oriented subject and laced it with good comedy. His gripping narrative is the main asset to the film. He keeps the viewers engaged with tight screenplay and emotional sequences. He deals with this sensitive subject really well.

Sathyaraj gives a composed performance as the grandfather. He emotes well in crunch episodes, which adds more depth to the narrative. Rao Ramesh is good in the role of a son who hesitates to fulfil the wish of his father. He does what is needed of him.

Sai Tej has come up with a very mature performance. He developed a well-toned body and even flaunts his six pack in a particular fight sequence. He excelled in emotional scenes.

The lady lead, Raashi Khanna is very beautiful on screen. Her chemistry with Sai Tej is sparkling and pleasing to the eye. She is seen as a Tik Tok star and delivered am energetic performance.

Thaman’s background score and music is very impressive. He elevates a few scenes with his background score.

Jaya Kumar Sampath does fine job behind the lens and so did the editor, Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao.

Prati Roju Pandage is a feel-good family entertainer with adequate doses of comedy and emotions. It keeps the viewers engaged all the way through.
