Pelli Choopulu fame Ritu Varma has been very much busy with her upcoming flick right now. She is ready to gear up for the release of the film Keshava in which Nikhil Siddhartha is playing the lead role. Currently the actress is busy with promotional activities and interacting with media.
Ritu described her role,”I play a law student and Nikhil’s love interest. My character is quite independent and plays a significant role in his journey. Post Pelli Choopulu, I was flooded with a lot of offers but I wanted to be a part of the film that comes under a different genre. Director Sudheer Varma’s earlier film Swamy Ra Ra was very gripping and I wanted to work with him. Finally, I got a chance. I am playing law student and love interest of Nikhil. My character in Keshava is quite independent and plays a significant role in the actor’s journey,” She said.

She added, she become very choosy and taking special care while listening the story lines. She wants to do meaty roles as her career is on the upswing. The actress is a part of National Award winning film but she says that nothing really changed and it is hard work that brings success to a person.
“A lot of scripts came my way of late, but I was choosy.I want to be more than just a pretty face and to do meaty role. I am happy to play roles that show me as an independent girl, which is what I am in real life too. The National Award did change the way I look at scripts.”
