MLA Sangeet Som of bharatiya janata party has experienced harsh criticism over remarks identified with the legacy site Taj Mahal, one of the seven miracles of the world. His remarks come in the wake of the controversy encompassing the oversight of Taj Mahal from the Uttar Pradesh Tourism booklet. In a reaction to the critics, MLA Sangeet Som asked what history were they discussing about. He said Taj Mahal’s maker Shah Jahan imprisoned his dad and needed to wipe out Hindus.
Sangeet Som said it is grievous if individuals like Shah Jahan were a piece of the history and his government will change this history. The Uttar Pradesh tourism booklet was discharged to stamp a half year of the Yogi Adityanath government. The booklet incorporates Adityanath’s Gorakhpur sanctuary yet has no say of the Taj Mahal.
