The son-in-law of Mrs.Sonia Gandhi Mr. Robert Vadra is once again in the news. He is alleged that he owns a proxy Bungalow in Britain valuing 19 crores. It is said that a business man by name Sanjay Bandari has gifted this building in 2009 in a deal.
In brief the IT department found some e-mails discussing the payments and rennovations for the building in London,when raided on the Sanjay Bandari’s house. Intheir further invetigation they found that the house was occupied in October 2009 and sold it in June 2010. However Vadra refuted the charges against him. His lawyer has stated that Vadra’s does not own either directly or indirectly any bungalow as reported in the media, but probe revealed Vadra’s alleged involvement. The finance ministry is now probing whether Vadr has any involvement in the purchase of the “proxy” mansion in London in 2009 or not.
