Centre approved new Airports o Telugu states

It is a definitely good news for the both the Telugu states. Prime Minister N.Modi led NDA government has approved new airports in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Central Government announced three new Airports in Andhra Pradesh and one in Telangana.

NDA alliance TDP leader, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju has made things easier for the Telugu states. The Steering Committee on Greenfield airports, headed by the Secretary, Civil Aviation (MoCA), Government of India, has given green signal for Bhogapuram Airport and two other airports at Dagadarthi in Nellore district and Orvakallu in Kurnool district.

The Committee also recommended for ‘site clearance’ to the Kothagudem airport in Telangana. Hence, Telangana is getting its second Greenfield airport after Hyderabad International airport. AP State Government is planning to construct an international airport at Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram under PPP mode. Naidu’s government has already acquired the land needed for developing Bhogapuram Airport and plan is underway to begin the construction next year. The airport at Dagadarthi will be developed under PPP mode and the Orvakallu airport will be developed by State Government only.
