Rains lashed out at a few sections of Hyderabad on Monday. As per the Indian Meteorological Department’s forecast, the rainfal will proceed for the following five days in both the Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. The hyderabad traffic was tossed out of apparatus at different areas in the city due to the continous rains.
Overwhelming rainfall is being recorded at zones, for example, Banjara Hills, Jubilee Hills, Mehdipatnam, Hitech City, SR Nagar, Neredmet, Tarnaka, Uppal and a few zones in Secunderabad. A few regions in Hyderabad were immersed because of flood water bringing about the suspension of the Metro Rail works at all the areas.
While some parts received heavy showers, Met officials maintained that 90 per cent of the city… spanning 628 square kilometres… was left drenched in the Monday’s day-long spell. Skymet, a private weather forecaster, also indicated that due to the cyclonic circulation developing over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states, light to moderate rainfall is likely at many places over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states  in the next 24 hours.
The weather would remain humid with day’s maximums being in the range of 32-34 degree Celsius, while the minimums would hover around 23-25 degree Celsius.
The local Met officials issued a next five day heavy rainfall warning, both for the city and the rest of Telangana. Though the monsoon hastened its entry into Hyderabad, it took a break for almost a fortnight until the skies opened up on Monday.
