NEET Ordinance to put on hold for one year

After J.P.Nedda the Central Health Minister explained the need for postponing the “NEET” for one year, Mr. Pranab Mukerji approved an Ordinance postponing the “NEET” for one year.

The Ordinance overturned the order of SC which said that “NEET” should be conducted in all government colleges, deemed universities and private medical colleges in all states.

The Union Health Minister briefed the President mainly on three issues i.e regional langluages, state board and syllabus.

Already more than six lakhs students have taken the medical entrance test in the first phase of NEET held on 1st May. They however are eligible for the uniform entrance exam from the next academic session.
