AP bandh success, people supported for SCS demand

The State-wide bandh called by YS Jagan led YSR Congress supported by other parties in the state gets success. The main opposition party,  YSRCP, Congress and the Left forced called for against the denial of special category status to the State is peaceful.

Private educational institutions were closed. The APSRTC suspended bus services in major part of the State but operated the services to some rural areas. Leaders of the main opposition party, YSR Congress, Congress and the Left parties were taken into custody when they tried to force to close the shutters of the shops and other business establishments.

In the morning, roads in different parts of the State wore a deserted look but the vehicle riders began moving slowly as the traffic in various towns picked up as the day progressed. YSR Congress MLA Ramakrisha Reddy and his followers were arrested in Mangalagiri in Guntur district when they tried to prevent the buses from moving out of the depots.

In Vijayawada city, party leaders Parthasarathi, Vangaveeti Radha Krishna and Gowtham Reddy distributed flowers to the bus passengers and the RTC staff seeking their support to the bandh. At Sattenapalle in Guntur disrtcit, YSR Congress leader Ambati Rambabu and his followers were arrested by the police when they tried to force the closure of the shops and other business establishments in the town. A few YSRCP MLAs and their supporters are taken in to custody across the state.
