Government Chief Whip G Srikant Reddy slammed TDP for its allegations on irregularities in ambulance vehicles while the induction of 108 and 104 services was hailed by the entire country.
Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, Srikanth Reddy said that Naidu was maintaining double standards by making false allegations against the State government. “While Jagan Mohan Reddy was reviving 108 & 104 ambulance services to save people’s lives, the TDP leaders were accusing the State government by tagging corruption charges in the tender process. “We have genuinely awarded the tenders as per norms and there was a Judicial Review as well in the process. TDP leaders should read the tender documents before making allegations and we are ready for discussing the issue openly,” he said.
There was transparency in what the government has been doing he said and challenged Naidu to prove the charges if he can and questioned a section of the media which was supporting Naidu’s baseless charges against the government.
He said that Naidu cant see the welfare measures being taken up by the State government which has spent Rs 28,122 crore in the last six months towards public welfare despite losing entire revenue. In a span of 13 months, the Chief Minister fulfilled over 90 per cent of the promises made in the manifesto and practically implemented those that were neglected by the previous government. With a special focus on healthcare services, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy revived the ambulance services across the state by launching the new 108 and 104 vehicles.
MLA Srikanth Reddy said that it was shameful of Naidu to go on making false accusations against the government, despite the fact that the public are getting benefited by the State government initiatives. In the last six months, the State government spent Rs 262.5 crore for the benefit of 2,62,493 beneficiaries through YSR Vahana Mitra, Rs 3675.25 crore for benefiting 49,43,590 farmers through YSR Rythu Bharosa and Rs 8457.59 crore for 59,03,000 beneficiaries through YSR Pension Kanuka. Through various schemes like Ammavodi, Jagananna Vidya Deevena, Jagananna Vasthi Deevena, YSR Kanti Velugu, Nethanna Nestham and MSME restart package a total of 3.53 crore people were benefited, he said.
