In a major setback to Telugu Desam Party, the Election commission of India on Wednesday has given green signal to the Telangana ACB to carry out the investigation in the cash-for-vote scam.
Ever since the Revanth Reddy’s murky deal was out, the TDP leaders have been claiming that the ACB has no powers to investigate the case and it’s the work of the EC.
With the Election Commission giving full powers to the ACB in the case, the TDP leaders were left squirming and found themselves at wits’.
EC sent a letter to the ACB asking it to go ahead with the case and submit a detailed report on the investigation.
On the other hand, the ACB officials are arguing that they have informed to the EC before the arrest of Revanth Reddy and also sent letters twice on the status of the case.
