Ever since senior and no-nonsense civil servant Seetharamanjaneyulu has assumed charge as the director general of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB), the ACB has been going hammer and tongs against the corrupt officials across the state. Following the strict diktats of Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, the DG has been conducting raids across the length and breadth of the state. First the MROs and tehsildar offices were targeted. Now, the agricultural credit societies and the cooperative banks are being targeted.

On Tuesday, there were massive raids on the employees of the Makavaram Society Bank employee Govinda. The police said huge amounts of cash and incriminating documents were seized from him. In addition, the premises of three more officers were also raided. In Vizianagara district, raids were conducted on the offices and residences of Tribal Welfare Officer Mohan Rao. Raids were also conducted on the officials in both Srikakulam and Parvathi Puram.

Ever since, Sitharamanjaneyulu took charge, the corrupt officials are feeling the pinch as they do not know who will be targeted next. Massive raids on the tehsildars across the state have sent shivers down the spine of the corrupt and inefficient officials.
