YSRCP MLA Kodali Nani said that crossing over of MLAs to ruling Telugu Desam would not loss to the party. He made comment referring to his party MLA Uppaleti Kalpana has all set to join the ruling party.
He made these comments while he attended the hearing of the privileges committee of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly on Thursday. Gudivada MLA Kodali Sri Venkateswara Rao (Nani) and Chandragiri MLA Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy presented themselves before the committee. They were asked to appear before the committee in connection with the protests in the Assembly well over the issue of Special Category Status to the state. Nani argued that the issuance of notices was politically motivated. He said he had never demeaned the Speaker’s position and did not use abusive language. He maintained that the Government was resorting to vendetta as he had raised the issue of special category status. Referring to the reports of his party MLAs crossing over, he said it would not be a loss for the party.
