Set back to ruling party in Krishna District

The ruling Telugu Desam Party has faced its first setback in politically after it came into power way back in 2014. It has lost the elections of Municipal Chairman in Pedana, Krishna District, where it’s senior most leaders, Kagitha Venkatara representing as Member of Legislative Assembly.

The opposition YSR Congress Party won the election for the Pedana Municipal Chairman in a cinematic style. YSRCP councilor Bandaru Ananda Prasad has won the Chairman election with the one single vote majority, which is voted by the ruling TDP Councillor Sravanthi. With this one vote, Anand Prasad was declared as the new chairman election of the Pedana Municipality. Earlier, YSCRP and TDP have equally won 11 councilor seats each in the recent elections for Pedana Municipality. However, the The election was held as the Pedana municipal chairman died.

YSRCP has also won Pedana Mandal Parishad as well. Out of the total nine seats, YSRCP won five and TDP four. YSRCP candidate Achyutha Raju elected as Chairman of Pedana Mandal Parishad. The results make the top bosses in ruling party uncomfortable. It is also led to the lot of discussion in the political section over the Naidu’s ruling in the state.
