A monster reproduction of the Lord Venkateswara holy place at Tirumala worked in Telangana capital Hyderabad was tossed open to enthusiasts Wednesday. The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam, which oversees the more than 2000 Lord Venkateswara place of worship at Tirumala close here, has constructed the reproduction temple at an expense of Rs.20 crore on a 3.5-section of land site in the luxurious Jubilee Hills region in Hyderabad, a temple official told media here.
After ministers performed unique customs, including Mahakumbabhishekam (sanctification) at the break of day, the lovers were permitted to offer petitions at the new place of worship.
