YSR Congress party President and Opposition leader YS Jagan Mohan Reddy announced his decision to boycott the Assembly sessions in the YSRCLP meeting.
Andhra Pradesh opposition YSR Congress has chosen to boycott the assembly session of the Andhra Pradesh Assembly demanding that the 20 MLAs, who traversed from its overlap to the ANdhra pradesh rulling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), be excluded forthwith.
The YSRC likewise requested that four of the individuals who exchanged sides and were made cabinet ministers, be rejected from the government promptly. We can’t sit (in the Assembly) with our heads bowed when a joke is being made of democracy .
Consequently, we have chosen to boycott the Assembly session, that is relied upon to start on November 10, YSRC Legislature Party’s representative leader Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy said today.
We won’t go to the governing body till the MLAs who surrendered to the Telugu Desam Party are excluded,” he said. The YSRC Legislature Party today held a meeting under the chairmanship of Leader of Opposition in Andhra Pradesh Assembly, Y S Jaganmohan Reddy.
A most recent release issued by the Assembly said the YSRC has 66 MLAs. Indeed, even four ministers were recorded as members from YSRC.
Are we a player in a coalition government…. Ramachandra Reddy pondered. They are making a total joke of democracy by not making any move against the 20 MLAs in the last one-and-a-half year.
We will appeal to the nation’s leader, the prime minister and the state governor over this,” he said. The YSRC at first had 67 MLAs in the present 176-part Andhra Pradesh Assembly.
In any case, upwards of 21 of the legislators changed over to the rulling party since February 2016. One of them died of heart attack early this year.
Four of the individuals who traversed were enlisted into Chandrababu Naidu’s bureau in April this year.
In YSRCP meeting they alleged that the Assembly Sessions were always held unanimously without holding any discussions on the issues of the public and declared that they won’t attend the sessions until the government fulfils their demand.
