YSR Congress Party Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is good to go to set out upon the Padayatra on November 2 from Idupulapaya in YSR area to Ichchapuram in Srikakulam region. YS Jagan reported the timetable of the Padayatra that will cover more than 3000 km crosswise over Andhra Pradesh will continue for a half year.
The declaration was made amid the tenth Yuva Bheri program held in Anantapur on Tuesday. The Yuva Bheri programme aiming at highlighting the importance of Special Category Status (SCS) will hereafter be taken up by the local leadership and the constituency coordinators will take over the Youth progamme,’ he said amidst cheers from the students.
The Padayatra would go through Chittoor and different locale before completion at Ichchapuram, covering the whole state. Few days Ago Jagan said he would begin the 3000-km-padayatra emulating his father YSR’s Prasthanam after offering prayers at Tirupati.
He will visit all the districts and know the problems and issues of the people before ending the yatra at Ichchapuram on the northeastern tip of the state.
Meanwhile, the Yuva Bheri programme – the party’s youth connect initiative aimed at sensitising people on the issue of Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh – will continue and the responsibility of conducting the programmes has been entrusted to the local leadership and constituency coordinators.
