Chandrababu would quit from his CM’s post if the Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau files the supplementary FIR naming him as an accused in the sensational cash-for-vote scam.
According to a report in the Mumbai Mirror, Civil aviation minister P Ashok Gajapathi Raju is Naidu’s choice as interim chief minister.
The ACB, sources say, is gearing up to seek court permission on Monday or Tuesday to file the supplementary FIR.
The report also say that the AP CM had already informed PM Narendra Modi and BJP president Amit Shah that Ashok Gajapathi Raju will be his successor in the event of his resignation.
Among those whose names are doing rounds for the top post is that Hindupur MLA Bala Krishna, and ministers K Narayana and Y Ramakrishnudu.
