T-Congress protested over demolishing of old secretariat

Telangana Congress party has hosted a protest outside the state administrative headquarters, Secretariate. T-Congress leaders protest against the decision of TRS government’s move to construct a new Secretariat by demolishing the existing buildings.

Congress MLAs and other senior leaders, led by the State Congress chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy, took part in the protest. Congress leader Dhanam Nagander and others tried to enter the Secretariat but they were stopped by police. T-Congress unit is alleging the move to build the new Secretariat by demolishing the existing buildings in the name of Vastu defects was wastage of public money. TPCC Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said that the Congress would oppose the move in a democratic way.Uttam Kumar Reddy had written an open letter to the Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan for seeking his intervention to prevail upon the state government to withdraw its decision.
