IAS Officers seek police probe in TRS MLA case

The Telangana IAS Officers’ Association has griped to Chief Secretary S.P. Singh against two TRS MLAs – B. Shankar Naik of Mahbubabad and M. Yadagiri Reddy of Jangaon – for getting into mischief and verbally manhandling two collectors.
Association president and Special Chief Secretary B.P. Acharya, Mahabubabad Collector Preethi Meena and others met Mr Singh and presented the affiliation’s resolutions on the Mahbu-babad episode where the MLA touched Ms Meena and pulled her hand.
They asked for that the examination be depended to a lady officer not beneath the rank of IG. Ms Meena informed the Chief Secretary about Mr Naik’s misconduct while Mr Acharya talked about the grumbling made by Jangaon authority Devasena about how Mr Yadagiri Reddy had been verbally oppressive a few times.
The affiliation has asked for Mr Singh to set up an institutional system whereby such occurrences are counteracted, and grievances formally tended to. The affiliation passed a determination to give all vital help including lawful help to Ms Meena as required.
Mr Singh has guaranteed the affiliation that the administration will make a move according to law in the Mahbubabad occurrence. He listened to them and said thanks to them for their solidarity with Ms Meena. He said a foundation would be set up to forestall such occurrences later on.
