Pillars have been constructed form Musheerabad to Chilakalapudi for Metro rail project but the work has been haulted in the area for the last six months. Officials say that two more pillars are to be constructed for which land is to be acquired until then the viaduct work cannot be taken up. Consequently people are put to suffer to walk on the roads. Motor cyclists have to travel on the narrow roads having a harrowing  time.

Mr.Vijaya D’Souza said “metro rail started the pillar work and we are assured that the roads would be repaired but later came utility works of water and drainage and since then it has not stopped. There are many works on going on the sides of the road due to which the complete stretch till the institute of preventive medicine is very uneven.” With many colleges, schools and offices on the stretch, the movement of the pedestrains is badly affected as there is hardly any place for them to walk. Mr. Md. Ifran of Chilakalaguda cross roads stated, “there isno place to walk on the roads. Both sides of the road have been dug, though they have complained to the GHMC no action has so far have been taken.

A senior HMR officer said, ” these works from Musheerabad are part of corridor works. It is taking time as properties have not been acquired at few places. The acquisition process is in final stage and within six months the works on this stretch will be completed.
