In yet another setback to theĀ Telugu Desam Party (TDP) in Telangana, its legislator Manchireddy Kishan Reddy on Wednesday announced his decision to join the TRS at its plenary on April 24.
Earlier in the day, the Ibrahimpatan MLAĀ met Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao at his camp office and formally declared that he would joining the party on Friday.
Speaking to the media after meeting the CM, the TDP MLA said that his main agenda was to serve the people better. ” My main agenda is to serve the people in a better way and TRS can fulfill the people’s wishes, ” he said while refusing to comment on the TDP.
Kishan Reddy recently held a meeting with TDP activists and his followers, and sought their opinion on his plan to join the TRS. It is learnt that, a majority of his followersĀ approved of his decision to switch loyalties. The buzz is that two more TDP MLAs of Telangana are preparing to join the TRS.
