Uttam Kumar says KCR is ignoring the problems of Farmers

Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President N Uttam Kumar Reddy accused Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday of ignoring the problems faced by farmers in the state. Addressing a press meet in Nagarkurnool TPCC chief said the CM KCR is playing gimmicks with farmers to motive them till the next elections.

He remembered the Chief Minister’s recent announcement of depositing Rs 4000 per acres into the bank accounts of farmers for buying fertilizers and pesticides, the TPCC chief said,”While the chilli farmers are burning down their crop due to lack of minimum support price and are agitating against the government’s misrule, the government is putting them in jail and is treating them like criminals.”Further, Uttam said that the Chief Minister ignoring the current burning issue of famers and announcing schemes. This is to divert the attention of farmers.

“Instead of announcing future schemes, why can’t the government come forward and buy the excess produce by the farmers at MSP and protect their interests. This is only to divert the attention of farmers and keep them engaged for the next elections,” Uttam Kumar saidFurther, he said that the people observing the attitude of the government and will very soon teach a lesson to the TRS party in the next elections. He said if Congress comes to power in 2019 each farmer will get Rs 2 lakh farm loan waiver.
