Eighteen years after he raped two of his female disciples, Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh was on Monday sentenced to 20 years jail for rape and criminal intimidation and fined Rs 30 lakh. There has been a strained circumstance in both Punjab and Haryana as far back as an special CBI court indicted so called Godman, Dera baba Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and condemned him to 20 years in jain for assaulting two ladies.
The repercussions of this decision have now touched the Telangana government as well. On Wednesday, a substantial number of workers of Left parties and farmer associations held a dissent at the site of the proposed Dera of Gurmeet Baba at Velimedu town, Chityala Mandal in Nalgonda region.
They requested the trs party to recover the whole place that is known for about 50 acres of land which as per them was relegated to poor people yet wrongfully involved by Dera Baba in the course of the last one decade.
The nonconformists fired the flexis of Dera Baba and furthermore planted red flags on the land. Prior, the TRS party government. reclaimed 8 acres of land of allocated land to poor people, which was professedly involved by the supporters of Gurmeet Baba.
He had apparently intended to set up an Ashram, educational organization and old age home at the spot. Local people however were not satisfied with the government. reclaiming just 8 acres of land of land as they kept on requesting the reallocation of the whole 50 acres of land that was unlawfully possessed by Gurmeet Singh.
The Left parties have debilitated to dispatch a massive prtest if the state govt. doesn’t act quick and reclaim the involved lands.
