In the early hours of Monday, a housewife committed suicide in Kukatpally allegedly humiliated by her house owner.
Sujatha and her husband Ramakrishna, a couple belonging to Palakollu of West Godavari district, have been living for the past two years in a rented house belonging to Prasanna Kumar, in Srinivasa Nagar Colony near Kukatpally. On Sunday evening, the house owner went to Sujatha’s house, when her husband was not in home. There is no official update on the exact reason but the house owner has reportedly had an argument with Sujatha and humiliated. He even tried to physically assault her, as per the reports of neighbors. A few hours later, Sujatha committed suicide by hanging herself as she couldn’t bear the harassment. Before committing the shocking act, she wrote reasons on one of the walls in the house which led to take the extreme step that the house owner assaulted me when my husband was not in home and he is responsible for my suicide. I am committing suicide to punish him. Police have a registered a case and started searching of absconding house owner.
