Khanapur turns into Kavithapuram

Delighted by Politician help, villagers of Khanapur in Nizamabad district have renamed their village after Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter, Member of Parliament, K. Kavitha. According to the sources, Khanapurgram Panchayat is of 274 houses is the submerged under the SRSP waters.

Villagers have been rehabilitated in a new place, a few kilometers away from original village. Earlier, locals were met their MP K. Kavitha and requested for construction of double-bedroom houses for all the 274 households. Local MP K.Kavitha has taken initiatives in allotted a new piece of land for rehabilitation, Khanapur sarpanch Mamatha Naresh said. The villagers now passed a resolution to rename the village as Kavithapuram panchayat. “We are overwhelmed with her concern over our village. So, we have decided to name our village as Kavithapuram” Mamatha Naresh added
