PV Sindhu clinched China Open-2016

Olympic Silver Medalist PV Sindhu letdown the China domination once gain in the field of world badminton by clinching the maiden super series premier title of China Open here on Sunday. Indian super star Sindhu has won the final match with Sun Yu of China with 21-11, 17-21, 21-11.

World No. 11 Sindhu had the 2-3 head-to-head record with Sun Yu. But, she has continued her storm in the final match as shown as her performance in Rio Olympics. She lifted the prestigious China Super Series title after beating Sun 1-2 in the match that lasted an hour and nine minutes. Sindhu extend her lead even as Sun tried to vary the pace of the rallies but her errors continued to heap up as the Indian star player was soon. Sindhu then grabbed opportunities to Sun let go of the match. Finally, PV Sindhu pushed the shuttle at the right place and hit the points raised. PV stands as second Indian badminton player who won the China Open after Saina Nehwal had clinched the super series in 2014 before finishing runners-up last year. Sindhu had reached her maiden Super Series final at the Denmark Open last year but the title keep away from her then as she lost in straight games to 2012 Olympic champion China’s Li Xuerei.
