Naga Shourya's Aswathama to release on January 31st

Naga Shourya’s Aswathama has locked January 31st as its release date. The film stars Shourya and Mehreen in the lead roles. Usha Mulupuri is bankrolling Aswathama and it is being presented by IRA creations banner. The film is said to be an action entertainer which caters to all sections of the audience. The makers interacted with media and announced the release date.

The producer, Usha Mulupuri said Aswathama is presently in post-production phase. She added that the film deals with an underlying social issue, which will connect well with all age groups.

Shankar Prasad said Naga Shourya will be seen in a new avatar in Aswathama and the film will be hitting the big screens on January 31st.

The director, Ramana Teja thanked IRA creations for giving him the opportunity to direct Shourya in Aswathama and expressed his confidence on the film.

Co-producer Bujji said Aswathama shaped up really well and thanked the technical team for their support. “Anbu Aribu, who composed the fight sequences for KGF worked on our project and that helped us a lot.”, He said.

Posters opposing Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission Uday Shankar have sprung up at various universities. These posters are demanding that he be removed from the post so that justice can be done to the SC, ST and BC candidates. The posters are also decrying his high-handed attitude.

As per the reports, APPSC chairperson Uday Bhaskar has always been controversial. He has been nominated during Chandrababu regime and has chosen to continue in the post despite the change of regime. He is being accused of behaving in a high handed manner be it the recruitment of village secretaries to the government jobs.

The question paper leaks have become the order of the day. Due to all these, the YSRCP government is said to be quite unhappy with him. It strongly feels that the APPSC chief is hell bent on tarnishing the image of the organisation. The unemployed and the students are demanding that he be removed immediately as he is resorting inordinate delay in appointments. To highlight this , several posters have sprung up in various universities under the Government.

It remains to be seen how the government will react to these posters!!

Mismatch Movie Review

MisMatch, starring Uday Shankar and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles hit the big screens today. The film is said to be a content-driven one and the trailer has already raked up the expectations on the film. Let us see whether the film can keep the viewers engaged or not.

Story: Uday comes from a modern family has a good intellect. One day, he meets Aishwarya Rajesh, a girl who resides in a village. The rest of the story showcases the intriguing journey between these two contrasting characters.

Analysis: The director of the film, Nirmal Kumar has picked a good plotline and narrates it without too many deviations. The screenplay is neat and it evokes interest.

Uday Shankar gave a mature performance in the film and he has improved since his debut film Aatagadharaa Shiva.

Aishwarya Rajesh, as we all know is a fine actress and she fits the bill perfectly. She is seen as a boxer and related scenes were gripping. Her chemistry with Uday Shankar is beautiful.

The rest of the star cast played their roles well and give a good vibe to the film.

Gifton’s music is very impressive and so was the background score. Also, the cinematographer Ganesh Chandra delivered a classy output with his brilliant work behind the lens.

Production values are really good for this film. The producers Ram and Bharath are to be commended for their work.

Tell us about yourself
My mother is native to Jadcherla and my father hails from Maldakkal near Gadwal . I did my schooling in Nizamabad and Intermediate in Guntur . I completed M.A Sociology Ambedkar University.

Cinema has been a childhood passion . My father is a retired English lecturer in a Government Polytechnic College.

I got a chance to act in Aatagadhara Shiva movie. Previously,  I had acted in small roles in a couple of films produced by Rockline Venkatesh.  He liked my sincerity and gave me the opportunity to act in the film which was directed by Chandra Siddarth.

Why did you choose a different subject like Aatagadhara Shiva for your debut .
Aatagadhara Shiva was the remake of the hit Kannada film ‘Rama Rama Re’, I grew my hair and beard for a year. Noted director Trivikram Srinivas garu told me recently that he liked the movie immensely.

How did the film MISMATCH come together?
I had made up my mind to do a strong message oriented film with a healthy family content . MISMATCH is a film about a young man who is prepared to sacrifice his love for seeing his lover’s dream come true .

Why did you go with director NV Nirmal Kumar ?
We selected the director based on the quality of his previous offering Doctor Salim . He has done an excellent job in presenting the storyline and showcasing the strengths of the actors.

How did it feel sharing screen space with Aishwarya Rajesh who is known to be an excellent performer?
While it is my second film , it is her 25th film . She is an great actress whose character is the cornerstone of our film . She advised me to think of her as a friend and took steps to ensure I was at ease in the sets.

What about your next project?
Right now, I am completely focused on this film and praying for a positive result. I have heard a couple of interesting subjects which I have set aside.

New allegations on Ravi Prakash’s Sanjeevani hospital!

Now that Ravi Prakash is shorn of all his ‘magical’ powers and is enmeshed in legal wrangles and cases, the skeletons are tumbling out one by one. How Ravi Prakash guzzled up ill-gotten funds is now becoming public knowledge.

Questions are now being raised about a hospital that he had setup in collaboration with some NRIs. There are allegations that the funds collected for the project were diverted to his personal accounts. Sources said that Ravi Prakash, in association with NRI named Anand Kuchibhotla, have set up Raviprakash Sanjeevani Hospital in Kuchipudi.

This hospital had promised low-cost treatment to debilitating diseases and NRI assistance in the treatment process. Ravi Prakash reportedly collected huge amounts as donations using the TV9 Little Hearts platform. But, sources in the know accuse Ravi Prakash of siphoning off these funds into his personal accounts.

Both Ravi Prakash and Kuchibhotla went from door to door in Kuchipudi village requesting for financial support to the hospital. Sources say that the amount collected had remained shrouded in secrecy. They had allegedly promised those donating more than Rs 1 lakh that they would be treated for free by expert doctors from the US. But, recently, when one such donor recently got admitted to the hospital for heart complaint, he reportedly found to his horror that there were no specialist doctor available.

The donor reportedly passed away due non-availability of doctors. They have reportedly approached the police with complaint and furnished details of the bank transactions.

They also reported that they were promised tax benefits under 18 C of the IT Act, but have now found that the hospital is not exempted under the said act. Also, the promises of naming rooms and various departments after those who donated big amounts has not been carried out.

Locally, the donors, philanthropists and the general public are said to be talking about how they were duped and how both Ravi Prakash and Kuchobhotla have not been visiting the facility. There are fears and apprehensions among these donors that their donations have been diverted. Post Ravi Prakash’s arrest, Kuchibhotla organied a press conference in a hurried manner and showed the names of the donors on the screen. But, he did not give the list of the donors to the media persons.

This has only served to heighten the fears among the donors, say sources. They feel it’s high time that either Ravi Prakash or Kuchibhotla or both should come clean and clarify.
