The teaser of Manchu Vishnu’s upcoming film ‘Ginna’ was unveiled on Friday here in the city. Starring star Manchu Vishnu, Bollywood star Sunny Leone, Paayal Rajput in the lead, the film is directed by Suryaah and produced by Manchu Vishnu under the banner AVA Entertainment & 24 Frames Factory. Presented by Dr M Mohan Babu, the film has already upped the ante with its promotions.
Speaking on the occasion, Anup Rubens said, “On the first place, we executed ‘Ginna’ with talented technicians and film professionals. Kona Venkat, writer Nageswar Reddy garu, Chota K Naidu and Manchu Vishnu garu. For the first time, I have worked with Manchu Vishnu garu. Vishnu has invested his heart and soul into the film. ‘Ginna’ is going to be a visual feast for audiences on the big screen.”
Producer-writer Kona Venkat said ‘Ginna’ has a big history to tell before it went on the floors. “History can be discussed later as we proceed further into film promotions. My achievement as a writer in the Telugu film industry is because of the faith that I keep on the word “entertainment”. The seed was sown long back with the film ‘Dhee’ that came in the year 2007. As a dialogue writer, I worked for the film ‘Venky’ when I first came to the industry. There is a 20 minute train episode which got massive praise and applause from the industry. Actors and filmmakers kept calling to appreciate me. Then, I’ve thought why shouldn’t I make a full-length comedy. That was how I made ‘Dhee’. Actor Manchu Vishnu took it up, encouraged me, stood behind me to accomplish the task. ‘Dhee’ gave me recognition as a story writer. Later, I was taken on board of ‘Dhenikaina Ready’. These were the two blockbusters which defined my career. Now, ‘Ginna’ is going to be an another blockbuster in the list. What I observed is Vishnu has a unique comedy timing, he is the same even in his real life. When a story like this supports him, his acting talent on the screen gets enhanced. When we first heard the story, the first name that struck us was Sunny Leone. Entire team felt that there is no replacement for Sunny in the story.
Paayal Rajput: “Ginna’ is very close to my heart. What audiences have seen in the teaser is just a tip of an iceberg. The movie is going to touch your heart and soul. I really want to extend Mohan garu, Kona Venkat, Chota K Naidu, who is one of the best DoPs in the Indian cinema. I fell in love with the way he has shown me on the screen. And my two babies, Manchu Vishnu and Sunny Leone, I love them for their craft and as human beings.
Sunny Leone: Love is an unversal language. I understand this so much. The entire team has been amazing. I never had such an experience where you have sense of family on film sets. And this cast of characters are really amazing. Everybody has worked really hard. South industry is so kind to me. With your love, wish I keep on doing more films in the years to come.
Manchu Vishnu: It is for this love and respect, we actors make films. If there are no audiences who visit to theatres to watch movies, we are nobody as actors. I bow to you all for the love. ‘Ginna’ is so close to my heart. We work so hard for every film that we do, but ‘Ginna’ has more milestones. And the most important thing, my lovely daughters ‘Ariyana and Viviyana rendered their voice and acted in the film. I should thank Anup Rubens. When we told him that there is an important sequence for which we should make children sing in the film. He executed very well. I am indebted to writer Nageswara Reddy garu because when my career was on the downswing, he gave me a break with ‘Denikaina Ready’. Later, as a producer, I made the film ‘Current Theega’ which was a massive hit. Then ‘Eedo Rakam Aado Rakam’ was again a sweet memory.
‘Ginna’ has an extra-ordinary streak of comedy. Artiste Saddam had worked as an art assistant in ‘Current Theega’, now he acted as my friend in ‘Ginna’. His journey is very inspiring. This proves that hardwork never fails anyone. Chammak Chandra has done a fabulous job. And Vennela Kishore has nailed it again.”
