Maximum reforms into two years …. PM

The Prime Minister says many changes put in the place but there is  an enormous task ahead.

Mr. Modi said”I have actually undertaken maximum reforms” he told the Wilstreet General in a interview a head of his visit to US in the next month at the invitation of President Obama. 

“When I came to the government Iused to sit down with experts to define for me what is the “bigbang for them”. “Nobody could tell me” he added. He said again that there was a need to do much more.

“I have enorious task ahead for myself ” Modi replied to a corresponding to questions.

Modi said the efforts to amend land acquisition law at federl level was over now. It is upto state governments to pursue the changes. He also said that he would look to states to further liberalise rigid labour loss. Labour loss should not just mean in the interest of the industries, there should also be in the interest of the workers.

Responding to a question on Good and Services tax bil, Modi said the bill was passed in the Loksabha but it has been pending in Rajyasabha due to stiff resistance by the congress the largest party in Rajyasabha. All other parties except congress are in favour of GST bill. The bill brings about a uniform indirect taxation regime.
