Instead of polio drops, polio vaccine is now available for the children below the age of five years. Mr. C. Lakshmareddy health minister of Telangana has started polio vaccine on Tuesday.
Polio vaccine replaces polio drops and it works better than the polio drops. The vaccine has been recognised by the WHO (World Health organisation).
The central government supplies the polio vacine to the state governments. The polio vaccine will be given to the children of below five years from 7th of May 2016. This medicine will be applied to the children in four stages for ten days.
