The Mumbai special court has issued non bailable warrant on the liquor king Vijaya Malya. He has resorted to money laundering to a tune of 950 crores from IDBI bank.
Some of this amount has been diverted to his foreign bank accounts. Enforcement directorate is trying to bring him back to India. The enquiry authority has the power to execute these orders irrespective of time limit of open debt SBW. Out of ruppees 950 crores, ruppees 430 crores were diverted to his foreign accounts.
Kingfisher airlines challenged to strike off the petetion but the court struck down its petetion. The Enforcement directorate wanted to increase the pressure on Malya through interpole. The CBI is going to issue redcorner notice shortly. If once the notice is issued on him, he will be arrested any where in the world to bring him back to India.
