Senior IAS Pradeep Chandra took charge as CS to the TS

Senior IAS officer K Pradeep Chandra has been appointed as successor of Rajiv Sharma as the new Chief Secretary to Telangana government. Rajiv Sharma has retired as Chief Secretary on Wednesday. Thus, Telangana government has appointed K. Pradeep Chandra as new Chief Secretary to the state.

A Government Order (GO) has been issued on the appointment of Chandra, an IAS officer of the 1982 batch. Chandra had been serving as a Special Chief Secretary in the Revenue department. He completed graduation from IIT-Madras in Mechanical Engineering. Later, he finished his MBA from IIM-Calcutta. Recently he received doctoral degree (PhD) in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. He worked as Collector in Vishakhapatnam and Guntur districts. He has introduced several reforms in Technical education in united Andhra Pradesh as Director of Technical Education. He also witnessed the tremendous development in several sectors as Executive Director for the AP Industrial Development Corporation, MD for the State Scheduled Caste Cooperative Finance Corporation and Secretary to Government in the Finance Department and Commissioner of Inquiries. Until he took charge as Chief Secretary of the state, Pradeep Chandra had been posted as the Principal Secretary for the department of Industries and Commerce and Commissioner of Industrial Promotion, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
