Chandrababu’s New Year Gift To BC womens “Chandranna Pellikanuka”

Few days ago the andhra pradesh state government has announced Chandranna Pellikanuka for Backward Castes, which ensures financial assistance of Rs 25,000 for marriage.

As per the latest reports , As a New Year gift, the Andhra Pradesh Government has assigned Rs 300 crore for the Chandranna Pellikanuka for the poor ladies of the backward classes (BC). The GO in such manner will be discharged inside couple of days after the authorities concerned survey the rules.

To alleviate the financial burden of poverty line BC communities at the time of performing a marriage, the Government of Andhra Pradesh have decided to implement “Chandranna Pelli Kanuka” scheme with an objective of ensuring.

Reduction in the incidence of child marriages, to encourage the poor Backword Communities to register their marriages, to boost the satisfaction and happiness index of the society, to ensure protection for women from domestic violence.

As indicated by the reports, a three-advance check will be directed for the Chandranna Pellikanuka scheme which incorporates – from the season of the marriage to consummation of the marriage and likewise the cash will be transferred to the Account of the lady . The BC Welfare Department will deal with the Chandranna Pelli Kaanuka Online Application site.

Chandranna Pelli Kanuka Backward Classes Eligibility Criteria

The unmarried bride shall belong to the Backward Classes community.
The unmarried girl shall be the resident of Andhra Pradesh State.
The unmarried girl should have completed 18 years of age and the Boy should have completed 21 years at the time of Marriage.
The wedding of the BPL-Backward Class girl shall be on or after 01.01.2018.
Income Criteria for Chandranna Pellikanuka:
The parents of bride shall have White Ration Card / BPL category.

Educational Qualification for Chandranna Pellikanuka:

Initially for two years i.e., for the year 2017-18 and 2018-19, the Educational qualification for the Bride and Bridegroom are relaxed, but from the year 2019 onwards, it would be 10th class pass, to be eligible under this scheme.
