Police investigation uncovered the involvement of a large plot in the ATM cash missing. The cash managing services employed two persons for filling cash in different ATM banks in the city amounting to Rs 9.98 crores. The amount was given to two employees to refill the ATM machines.
The police said that two were traced and one crore was recovered from them. The police added that they achieved a major breakthrough in the case and found that some of those managing the cash distribution firm and some of its employees were collectively engaged in the fraud.
It is said that the managing agency encouraged the employees to set aside some amount of money in order to pay the salaries for its employees.
