In an incident at the zoo, a drunken man aged 35 years jumped into the enclosure of African lions apparently to shake hands with lions on Sunday evening. Mr. Pappaih the animal keeper who was very close, responded immediately to save the man from the wild cats, the drunken man was a labourer and native of Rajasthan.
He crossed the barricade and parapit wall and jumped into the moat and swam towards the big cats. He stretched his hand to shake with lions. When the lions had to pounce on him, the animal keeper threw stones at the lions and shouted biggerely to divert the attention of the wild animals. However the man was rescued.
