A 29-year-old woman died under suspicious circumstances at a hospital in Ramanthpur area, police said.
Ritu, a former air-hostess and native of Jharkhand, was married to Sachin U two years ago.
DCP Rama Rajeshwari R said Sachin reportedly demanded dowry from her and last night they had a quarrel.
Around midnight, he took her to a hospital. She was declared dead upon arrival. There were injuries on her body, police said.
Uppal police have lodged a case and detained Sachin.
