Prostitution racket busted, seven held in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: Police on Sunday busted a prostitution racket and arrested seven persons on the charge of running brothels in different parts of the city.

According to police, M Veerababu and R Ramesh are allegedly organisers of brothel houses which they have been running in different areas of Hyderabad and Secunderabad since the last eight years.

They were also involved in similar cases and wanted in four cases, a release from City Police stated.

Other accused namely Mohd Khaleel, Mahesh Rati, Abhijeet Vishwas (belonging to West Bengal), Deep Chand, who hails from Haryana, and E Bangaraiah are brokers and suppliers of women sex workers.

They used to procure women from different parts of the country, particularly from Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata, and used to supply them to the organisers of brothel houses in twin cities on daily and weekly basis, as per the release.
