Thaliban chief killed by US drone strike

Afghan Thaliban leader Mr. Akhtar Mansoor was killed in a US drone attack deep inside Pakisthan. This was announced by Afghan spy agency on Sunday. Mulla Akthar Mansoor was born in the 1960s, he served as shadow governor after the Thaliban’s fall down.

According to UN reports, the killed had an active role in drug trafficking. He had clashed with Abdul Quasim Zakir a senior millatary commander in a power struggle and differences over negotiations with the Afghan government. Mr. Mansoor’s death might change the course of the Afghan insurgency. Mansoor was the head of the Thalibans. Let us wait and see who will succeed him.
