Veteran Hindi and Bengali on-screen character Sumita Sanyal who has worked with Top stars like Amitabh Bachchan, Rajesh Khanna and Dilip Kumar, passed away at 71 years old.
She inhaled her last at her Kolkata habitation at Deshapriyo Park today on Sunday. She was hitched to film editorial manager Subodh Roy and is made due by a child.
She made her introduction with Bengali film – ‘Khokhababur Pratyabartan’ in the year 1960. Sumita has acted in more than 40 Bengali movies. She has additionally worked in number of Bollywood films, the most striking of which was “Anand” in 1970.
Her prominent motion pictures are Guddi, Aashirwad and Mere Apne. Boss Minister of West Bengal, Mamata Banerjee offered her sympathies to Sumita’s family by means of Twitter. She tweeted, “Disheartened at the death of veteran on-screen character Sumita Sanyal. My sympathies to her family, friends and fans.
