While many of the heroes try playing to the galleries rather than experimenting and disappointing their fans, Mahesh Babu thinks and does differently.
Whenever he gets a hit commercial film, his next movie will be an experiment and they may succeed sometimes or even turn into disasters.
Right from the starting of his career when Mahesh scored his first commercial success with Murari, he experimented with new love story Bobby which failed miserably. When he was getting a lover boy image he tried to come out of it and essayed a mass character in Okkadu which was a big hit in his career. Then he again went out of the way and selected crazy scripts like Nijam and Nani. Both of were disasters. When Mahesh got back-to-back hits in the form of Athadu and Pokiri, he touched a political script like Sainikudu and it turned out to be a huge disaster. When everyone thought he was becoming monotonous, he acted in Khaleja. This movie may have failed at the box-office but changed the image of Mahesh. It proved that he can do comedy roles with ease. After the massive success of Dookudu, he played a character which had negative shades in Businessman and that film became successful. Then he tried a family entertainer like SVSC wherein he left his star image. This film was also successful. Then he again took the experimental route with Nenokkadine. Though the film was critically acclaimed and his performance drew accolades, it failed at the box-office.
Now after the flop of Aagadu, one would try a commercial movie to get success. But Mahesh opted to choose a message-oriented script like Srimanthudu, which is going to release on the next week.
Mahesh is really different from others. Doesn’t he?
