Ajay Thakur played crucial role 

It turned out to be a perfect weekend for kabaddi fans in India as the national team clinched the World Cup in hat trick.  It is third consecutive title win the Indian Kabaddi team.

Indian team lifted the World Cup-2016 trophy by beating Iran 38-29 in the grand finale in Ahmedabad on Saturday. It was a frightening sight. A group of six power-packed kabaddi players made the nation feel proud.  In the final match with Iran team, Indian players measured each move you made and greeted. The experienced Ajay Thakur played a crucial role in India win the World Cup with his raiding prowess. Iran enjoyed a stronger start and dominated the first half.

But the Indians showed superb fighting spirit and aggression to pull off the win. Ajay Thakur had started the revival early in the second session by claiming four consecutive raid points. His team-mates also showed excellent raiding and defending technique to edge out their opponents. It was only natural for fans, as well as well-known personalities, to congratulate the team over the landmark win. From Prime Minster t famous sportspeople, politicians, actors, to the common people, social media was flooded with pride-filled messages.
