A man received the first ever penis transplant in the USA after his penis removed due to cancer. Surgeons at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston restored full functioning to the man’s pennis that was transplanted in an operation as a part of a programme intended eventually to make such treatment easier and more common.
The operation took 15 hours, the patient felt well and happy. This operation is experimental but the doctors described themselves as “cautiously optimistic.”
