One of the premier B-schools, Institute of Management Technology, Hyderabad is all set to host its annual inter-college national level sports festival, for the fourth time on January 9 and 10.
The approach followed by the institute is student centric, participative, and experiential and team based. This enables a holistic development of the students by maintaining an equal and increased growth in academics as well as extra-curricular. The fest will see a footfall of over 900+ students from leading B-schools in the country participating in the sports events spread over a period of 2 days.
The students at IMT Hyderabad have come together for over 2 months to organize 7 sports events to be held during the 2 day fest. IMT Hyderabad aims at inculcating a spirit of enthusiasm, healthy participation and competition amongst the participants. The major colleges participating in the event are: IFMR, SIBM Hyderabad, IMT Nagpur, Dhruva College, Gurunanak Business School, and IBS Hyderabad. The sports events being organized in the fest in which the participants will exhibit their skills and talent are Cricket, Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Throwball, Table Tennis and Counter Strike.
The director of Institute of Management Technology Hyderabad, Dr. Satish Ailawadi will motivate the students by his presence during the events. The fest will also experience a cultural night by the students of IMT Hyderabad on the second day i.e. 10th January, 2016 who will present a hilarious drama and a dance performance for the participants. A Mumbai based Hindi Pop-Rock band ‘RAAHIE’ will also perform at the first day of the fest on January 9.
